I went to San Francisco! I’ve wanted to go for the longest time and finally I had the chance. It was a short trip but I plan to return next year. Here are a few images from the trip:

Cable Car Safety

Cable Car Safety…they really take the fun out of it.

Cable Car

Cable cars in San Francisco are not the most efficient mode of transportation. They turn the carts by hand at the end of the route.

AT&T Park

This was my first stop in the city after taking the Caltrain from Palo Alto.

AT&T Ballpark

The home of the San Francisco Giants.

Boats

Boats along the waterfront. Just because…

Cupid's Span

Cupid’s Span is a sculpture along the waterfront with the financial district behind it.

Pier 39

I just did a walk though this part of Pier 39. Love the fun and festive atmosphere.

Fisherman's Wharf of San Francisco

Fisherman’s Wharf is full of tourists, street artists and seafood.

Boudin Sourdough

Boudin Sourdough is the bomb! I had to get a crab cake sandwich for lunch.

Boudin Bread of the Month

I read that Boudin’s still uses the same starter yeast-bacteria culture it developed during the California Gold Rush.

alcatraz

You can see Alcatraz in the distance. This is as close as I got this trip. I really want to do a night tour sometime.

Pier 39 Sea Lions

Pier 39 is famous for the sea lions.

Sea Lions

The sea lions are lazy and loud but kinda cute.

Golden Gate Bridge

This is a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge from the beach.

We had a nice visit with Daron and Dennis, Mark’s cousin and his husband.

We had to get a pic in front of the Golden Gate Bridge also. We didn’t get to bike across the bridge like we originally planned, but it’s definitely on the list for next time.

China Town

Just a random street in China Town.

China Town

I thought this was a cool door knob.

China Town

You can’t go to China Town and not take a picture of the lanterns.

China Town

Fruit market.

China Town

Dried seafood that I was not brave enough to eat.

China Town

Fun building in China Town.

China Town

Loved all the colors around China Town.

San Francisco at Night

After dinner we drove up to Twin Peaks for a night view of the city. It was raining but that did not keep people away. I was surprised to find dozens of people hanging out at the top.

San Francisco at Night

In this shot you can see the Golden Gate Bridge. I didn’t get to see everything I wanted but I sure had a good time. Just give me a camera and a bus pass and I’m ready for next time!

October always means a trip to the pumpkin patch at Mother Nature’s Farm. We’ve been going there for years. It’s not the closest one to my house, but it’s become a Halloween tradition. My kids automatically know that I will taking pictures and if their outfit doesn’t pass my test, they will be changing. The little guy actually didn’t fight me on this, even pulling out his jeans and a sweater. What makes this more impressive is that it was almost 100 degrees outside (I promise, I did not make him wear the sweater).  Outfit criteria for the pumpkin patch is really not all that strict. I just want them to wear something clean and half-decent that doesn’t completely clash with orange.

I have some gorgeous chunky frames in my house that everyone absolutely loves and wants, but I haven’t been able to get them for a while. Recently I found someone who can make them. Yay! The images below show an 8×10 and a 20×24 but they can make any size or color you want. Call or text Hayzor Designs at 602.350.0785 to order.

I’ve shot many many weddings with other photographers.  I’ve started the day with the bride, catching those tender moments with her mother and bridesmaids. I’ve captured the ceremonies of many religions with a variety of customs.  I’ve wrapped up the night with rice and sparklers, limos and vintage cars.  I’ve shot in houses, hotel rooms, churches, restaurants, banquet halls, and ballrooms.  I’ve worked bridal shows, met with clients, designed albums and done pretty much everything a wedding photographer does except take on weddings… until now. Introducing Gwendolyn Grace Photography Weddings. This is the first wedding I shot under my own name. The mother of the bride was also the mother of one of my high school seniors. They were such a nice and fun family.

The blond hairpiece had Donald Trump written all over it.  I was glad when my son agreed to dress up as Donald Trump for Halloween.  I couldn’t talk him into putting bronzer on his face, but I think the hair says it all.

Donald Trump Halloween

Make it Rain He even made it rain money in the streets!   I’m sure the Donald is never without his wad of one dollar bills. And if you were wondering, Donald Trump pays taxes.  At least he did on Halloween.  I opened the freezer this morning and found this bag of candy with “parent tax” written on it.   That kid cracks me up.

Tessa is a high school senior at Basha and a very talented dancer.  I’ve had the opportunity to watch her perform and compete and she is amazing!  I can’t wait to see what Tessa does with her dance career.  I had a fun morning with Tessa, her mom, and their dog.

Peyton is such a cute girl.  We had a great time shooting in one of the beautiful parks we have in the valley.  She wasn’t so sure about the hat at first, but I think it really works!
